Foundation Facts

The Foundation is the “philanthropic arm” of the Community Cancer Center. It is governed by a volunteer Board of nine voting members. The administration of the day to day business of the Foundation is conducted by the Community Center Executive Director and the Director of Development. Funds are raised through annual personal and corporate donations, planned giving commitments, memorial donations, gifts of securities, capital gifts, and through fundraising initiatives with event partners. Accountability and stewardship principles are carefully followed. The Cancer Center Foundation is committed to our local community and provides treatment, support services, and cancer education to patients, their families and the community. All gifts made to the Foundation are used for the sole benefit of the Cancer Center and the community we serve. Some examples of the Foundations funding initiatives are:

  • Expansion of the facility to better serve patients and accommodate new technology.
  • Supportive care services including those of the Oncology social worker, dietician, Breast Health Navigator, and Chaplin for patients and family members.
  • Education for patients, community and health care professionals.
