A diagnosis of cancer and subsequent cancer treatment can result in a period of adjustment and an increase in stress for patients and their families. At the Community Cancer Center, patients and their families have access to a comprehensive range of psychosocial support services. Our oncology social worker provides a wide range of services directly to persons with cancer and their families including counseling, support, education, and resource identification. They connect persons diagnosed with cancer, and their families, with essential community, state, national, and international resources.
For more information, or if you are interested in meeting with our social worker to discuss an issue that concerns you or your family, please call (309) 451-8500.
